Most Americans have no idea what exactly obesity is. Ask most people in America to name the most significant issue facing America today, and obesity would likely be near the top of the list. What is obesity? The consumption of excess calories or, more specifically, calories in a period; more specifically, food and beverages containing calories.
Today more people in America are becoming extremely obese, which is causing an increase in the number of overweight people. There are many reasons that one could become overweight, but the most common sense is an unhealthy body composition analysis. An abnormal weight that is neither normal nor desirable for the person. This can be caused by a high intake of processed foods, lack of physical activity, and a sedentary lifestyle.
It is not uncommon for an individual to become overweight when one has a sedentary lifestyle and consumes excessive calories in a period. Medical problems associated with obesity include high blood pressure, high cholesterol, high blood sugar, heart disease, stroke, and diabetes. If a person is subjected to excessive calories over a long period, this can cause these medical problems. With a sedentary lifestyle, what can be more enticing? Advertisements show perfect bodies, but in real life, most individuals are overweight.
Overweight individuals often have difficulty getting exercise and maintaining a healthy weight. If you are an obese person, you may also experience joint and back pain and other medical problems. In America, over two-thirds of the population is considered overweight, and this figure continues to rise. Today there is a greater emphasis on being thin rather than having a healthy weight. Why is obesity dangerous?
Being overweight is not always the fault of someone else. There can be many reasons for the extra pounds on our bodies, such as poor nutrition, vitamin deficiencies, emotional issues, stress, food intolerance, or even family history. What causes obesity is a complex issue that cannot be pinned down. However, one of the most significant contributing factors to gaining weight is food intolerance. Food intolerance is a reaction to the foods we eat, causing the body to experience discomfort and even a loss of control of its normal functions.
People with food intolerance cannot correctly process gluten, which is found in wheat, barley, and rye. Without this ingredient, our bodies cannot absorb the nutrients in these items. People with food intolerance are more likely to gain weight than those who do not suffer from this problem. This is one of the reasons why obesity is more common in those who have coeliac disease.
Another reason why obesity is dangerous is that an imbalance in the body can cause it. If there is an imbalance in the body’s hormones, it can affect the function of the other organs, including the thyroid and the pituitary gland. This gland controls the production of hormones, which are needed for the normal functioning of the other glands. If one of these glands is overactive, the imbalance causes an excess of fats to be stored in the body and can lead to different medical problems.
One of the most common reasons why obesity occurs in animals, like rabbits, is excess fat deposits in the stomachs of rabbits. Some different factors can cause excess fat deposits. Many breeders do not feed their rabbits enough vegetables, resulting in an unbalanced diet, which can cause an imbalance in the hormones in the body. Other reasons a rabbit may develop excess fat include a disease process, such as coccinella, or even being overbred. Raccoons are often victims of obesity because of their inability to digest meat effectively.
