In America, over two-thirds of the population is considered overweight, and this figure continues to rise. Today there is a greater emphasis on being thin rather than having a healthy weight. Why is obesity dangerous?

    Being overweight is not always the fault of someone else. There can be many reasons for the extra pounds on our bodies, such as poor nutrition, vitamin deficiencies, emotional issues, stress, food intolerance, or even family history. What causes obesity is a complex issue that cannot be pinned down. However, one of the most significant contributing factors to gaining weight is food intolerance. Food intolerance is a reaction to the foods we eat, causing the body to experience discomfort and even a loss of control of its normal functions.

    People with food intolerance cannot correctly process gluten, which is found in wheat, barley, and rye. Without this ingredient, our bodies cannot absorb the nutrients in these items. People with food intolerance are more likely to gain weight than those who do not suffer from this problem. This is one of the reasons why obesity is more common in those who have coeliac disease.

    Another reason why obesity is dangerous is that an imbalance in the body can cause it. If there is an imbalance in the body’s hormones, it can affect the function of the other organs, including the thyroid and the pituitary gland. This gland controls the production of hormones, which are needed for the normal functioning of the other glands. If one of these glands is overactive, the imbalance causes an excess of fats to be stored in the body and can lead to different medical problems.

    One of the most common reasons why obesity occurs in animals, like rabbits, is excess fat deposits in the stomachs of rabbits. Some different factors can cause excess fat deposits. Many breeders do not feed their rabbits enough vegetables, resulting in an unbalanced diet, which can cause an imbalance in the hormones in the body. Other reasons a rabbit may develop excess fat include a disease process, such as coccinella, or even being overbred.
